Bill G. Berryman, M.D.
Dr. Berryman is a former Marine. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is the founding physician at Phenix City Pain Management, which he opened in 2010 to meet the needs of the community. Dr. Berryman graduated with a medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Il. He completed his residency training in Anesthesiology at Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago, Il. He completed a fellowship consisting of 6 months training in Interventional Pain Management and 6 months Open Heart Anesthesiology under Dr. Alon P Winnie, considered by some to be one of the ‘Fathers of Interventional Pain Management.”
Over the past 25 years, Dr. Berryman has travelled extensively, practicing in Australia and the Caribbean as well as throughout the United States. He was an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Dr. Berryman is committed to searching for the most effective treatments for pain management, which included travel to India to learn some new and exciting methods of treating and controlling pain. He relocated to Phenix City, Alabama in 2006 where he contributed to the opening of Summit Hospital, in Phenix City as the Chief of Anesthesiology.
He has vast experience in interventional pain medicine and the management of chronic pain. Dr. Berryman a member of many medical societies including the American Society of Interventional Pain Management, American Pain Society, American Medical Association, Medical Association of the State of Alabama. He specializes in nonsurgical spine intervention and spinal injection techniques. Dr. Berryman wants patients to seek help from our pain clinic as their first choice instead of their last resort in pain management.
